We are very excited to be in Quito, Ecuador this week serving at Pan De Vida Mission and partnering with Pastor Fabian & his wife Grace at Carman Bajo Church....so blessed.!!!
It is very, very cold in Quito this week and very, very wet. But we serve Christ with the joy and strength of Ps 100:4-5 and Phil. 4:13.
Everyone is buying warm sweaters. Our friend Jeff, who lives in Quito came to dinner last night with a winter hat.
Allen Graham from HCJB Radio was our special missionary guest last night. Great time of sharing. Please pray for our team through July 21.
We remain very committed to serving Christ as we serve others and bring glory to God.
In every community we support and encourage and work alongside with local churches, pastors and congregations.
Our service projects are chosen on the basis of real need and Matthew 25. If you serve with impact you will meet so many great people and develop life-long friendships.
God bless you BIG..every day!

| LIVING LIFE FROM AN ETERNAL PERSPEC | Published on: 2007-01-30 |
Dear Friends & Ministry Encouragers,
This writing comes from a heart and life that desires God. These words come out of failure and success; out of sorrow and out of joy; out of fear and out of faith. The overriding confidence, through it all, is that God is always giving us His assurance, “Fear not, for I am with you.”
Our eternity may be many years from today, or our eternity may be just around the corner. I am convinced that if we, the Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, would live each day from an eternal perspective…our world would be a much better place. It would be filled with the important and the essentials, rather than being cluttered with our daily distractions, many of which crowd out the essentials of the abundant life Christ offers through one dedicated life.
Life lived with from an eternal perspective, offers a dedication to be more intentional in our relationships. This truth stretches from our relationship with God to our relationships with family, loved ones and friends, and as the scripture encourages…our neighbor.
Life lived with eternity in view would cause us to offer more patience, mercy and grace.
Life lived from an eternal perspective will enable us to offer forgiveness and restoration more quickly. This originates from the understanding that sometimes our biggest adversary is that portion of our own lives that disturb our own peace and the peace of others.
Life lived with a view of eternity in mind will draw us to be less concerned about our own life comfort and convenience, and more active in blessing the lives of others. It’s about investing in people with eternity in mind.
Life lived with eternity in mind would move us more quickly to focus on enjoying the “taken for granted things” of life. Time with family, loved ones and friends…taking a leisurely walk, hand in hand, holding the hand of your spouse and those you love…offering time to really listen to someone who is hurting and needs a friend …enjoying the fleeting moments of a beautiful sunrise and sunset…and never giving up on your dreams…because in these moments, God is with us; smiling at our enjoyment of his blessings.
Life lived with eternity in mind helps us remember that what is import to God, must be important to us…living His word daily as an outgrowth of our Christian worldview and not being a Christian, but living our daily life with a secular worldview.
Life lived with eternity in mind ignites our motivations to be more generous in our random acts of kindness and more Christ like. Remember we reap what we sow. Our God is a God of generosity.
Living life with eternity in mind would cause our daily worship of God to be more intentional and meaningful and life-changing for us and those around us, because we will see more of Christ and less of us.
Living life with eternity in view will cause us to love God in a deeper fashion and our neighbor; to love mercy and justice and to walk in more humility with our God.
Let God hear your “Glory” as you embrace more intentionally, life lived from an eternal perspective. What matters to God must matter to us….hour by hour and day by day!
Go light your world for Christ !

| 2007 Off to a GREAT start! | Published on: 2007-01-11 |
Glory !!!! 2007 is off to a great start with Mission Team sign-ups for Spring and Summer and Fall. We totally love serving Christ through Missions !
As always, we seem to gain so much more than we are able to give through serving.
And on a personal note…so many precious January birthdays in our family from our own children to our grand children to friends. Just think…everyday is a party ƒº.
GLORY !!!!!!!
These next few lines are things that have been meaningful to me over the last few days.
Eph. 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good work which He has prepared for us in advance”. Can you imagine that ???? As I do, I am humbled and thankful and live each day with an expectation of what God might have planned for us right around the corner. His Kingdom work comes with excitement, risk, questioning and some real hardships…but it comes with blessings abundant.
E-mail me and I’ll send you a writing that a friend sent my way the other day that speaks to the issue of living life in light and view of eternity. Wooo Baby& Glory ..is it simple and good ! I’d love to e-mail it to you, but only if you ask.
Over the last few days I have reflected upon something my eyes actually saw…and I had to look twice to make sure…then I just stared for several minutes and reflected.
My eyes saw a “Prayer Rail” in a church. The floor was CONCRETE CEMENT construction. There were ripples in that floor just like the ripples on highway U S 31 at home.
Call them ripples or call them dents or call them whatever…they were created by God’s people, knelling at the prayer alter over years and years…WOW…what a site. It was and is overwhelming!!! Can you image all the praise and adoration and petitions and calling out to God in worship and thanks and requests and answered prayer !!!! Can you feel it ????
2 Cor 4:6 is another thought I’ve been imaging about…”For God, who said, “let light shine out of darkness, made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” And His light shines through our lives …and verse 7 is just as precious ! Check it out !
Maybe these thoughts have come at this time because I have just returned home from a funeral of a friend. A very simple & saintly person who loved Christ and loved others.
That’s what we want Impact Missions to be all about ! GLORY !
Well, as we close, I just want to say that we would love to host and put together a mission service project for your church, church family teams, youth group or college and university missions. You are ALWAYS welcome and I love to say…”We’ll keep the light on for you!”
God bless you as you live each day with an eternal perspective…loving God and our neighbor.
Glory !

| Merry Christmas | Published on: 2006-12-23 |
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Dave & Tish and all of us at IMH / Impact Missions.
Our God is an awesome God and as every year passes, He proves Himself again and again. God is faithful.
We thank God for His work in hearts this past year and we are looking forward to meeting so many wonderful people this up-coming project year.
We still have room for groups to sign on a team for this summer.
Here is our prayer and thoughts for you this Christmas, and in the New Year …
This prayer came in a Christmas card this year and we give credit to friends at Forest Grove Auto on Byron Rd / Hudsonville, for it’s use.
“May you have the gift of faith, the blessing of hope and the peace of His love at
Christmas and ALWAYS !”
Give GLORY to GOD for the gift of His Son, Jesus !!!! It’s all about Him !!!!

When you are in plenty…thank God
When you are in need …trust God
When you seek wisdom …ask God
In all things…everyday…obey God
I have witnessed this and experienced this truth…it’s a profound spiritual principle.
“Blessing follows obedience.” We are not obedient to receive. We are obedient because
of God’s life-giving wisdom for living the abundant life. When did you last read Proverbs?
God used the following words of a song written and sung by Fernando Ortega to speak
very deeply and clearly to my heart and mind. It was during a time of seeking. A time
of needing assurance. Maybe, because of your season of life experience, God may use these
great words to speak to you and to bless you . That is my prayer ! Remember, God Still Moves !
“Dear Shepherd, I hear and will follow Thy call.
I know the sweet sound of your voice.
Restore and defend me, for Thou art my All
And in Thee I shall ever rejoice.”
Pb. 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The Godly run to Him and are safe.
Matt 7:27
Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys is wise,
Like a person who builds his house on a solid rock….
Pb. 21:21
The man who obeys the Lord and does good and who is
Loving and kind finds life, righteousness and life.
I leave for a Mission Service Project Friday , December 1.
Please pray as we serve in the name and power of Jesus Christ.
Pray that we might be a light for Christ and His great GOOD NEWS of
Ps 103.
