Gulfport, MS

Storms are no stranger to Gulfport.  Camille and Katrina roared into Gulfport with a fury and no one has forgotten either hurricane.  Teams in Gulfport are focused mainly on storm rehab.  Since Katrina, there is an ample three years of reconstruction assistance to be offered. Every day, families of Gulfport witness the commitment of Christian men, women and young people to offer help and hope in the name of Christ.

Due to the continued need and our strong interest in serving Gulfport, Impact Missions is committed to a long-term ministry in this community!

Volunteers are still needed for the rebuilding effort.  Teams that are considering coming need to plan on bringing enough individuals with drywall, carpentry or painting skills to lead the remaining members of their team in performing these tasks.  Our goal continues to be to help people make small steps of progress in returning their lives to normal.

Our central project work continues to focus on construction, with the goal to get people back in their homes.  We are now able to partner and network with Gulfport community organizations that are seeking volunteers to assist with family encouragement, other types of helping and assisting ministries.

Weekly trips are scheduled between January and November of 2007!!

The citizens of Gulfport have opened their doors, arms and their hearts to Impact Missions.

We thank God for the opportunity to bring hope and help for many years to come, in the name of Christ who gives true and lasting life and hope!
